Most of the material will be HIV related although other subjects such as viral hepatitis and STD/dermatology may be included. The scope of programme material includes treatment updates, practice guidelines/recommendations, surveillance reports, meeting presentations, clinical photos and so on.

Each basic teaching unit consists of 1 credit point meaning that participation in the self-study activity should be completed in approximately one hour's work. The content of the iCE programme will be updated regularly, with 2 to 4 new programmes a year. Each programme will last one year for CME/ CNE/ PEM accreditation.
